If you're uncomfortable speaking in front of people, the small claims judge will most likely understand. Bring  2 copies of written testimony  to court, one for you and one for the judge. You may read your entire testimony out loud, but the judge may ask you to read slowly as he/she will be taking notes. If you're truly uncomfortable sitting by yourself at a long table in front of the judge, you may bring someone with you to sit by your side with the judge's consent.
